Program Highlights

EARTHWALKS

If there are two classes they will be split up and going on two separate walks. The activity will take about 60 mins. It is important that the teachers are there for the walk to help with any behavioral issues and to participate in the learning experience so that any lesson extensions can be designed for back at school.

AFTERNOON DESERT ROTATION

There are four 45 minute activities that the students are split up into and rotate through. Three of the activities are led by Cooper Staff Members (Hike, Service Project and Artist and Scientist) and one activity is lead by the teachers. We have a list of Activity Centers that you can choose from or you can bring your own activity.

CABINS & CAMPFIRES

After a full day of outdoor experiences, students are ready for dinner and activities around the campfire.  Camp Cooper's amphitheater and firepit provide the perfect venue for stories, songs, stargazing and of course, s'mores.  Dinner can be coordinated and prepared by teachers and parent volunteers, or can be catered by TUSD for a per person fee.
