While we are unable to offer in person field trips, our educators will host live workshops over Zoom (or similar software). Students will be led through activities and invited to engage actively during the session with the Camp Cooper staff.

Our Desert Home
VIRTUAL FIELDTRIP
Our Desert Home is a Pre-K/Kindergarten program designed to expand students’ sense of place to include the Sonoran Desert by using visuals, movements, and sounds. Join our staff on a short virtual walk, where we will help students become familiar with different plants and animals by observing and drawing desert scenes!
Materials needed
• Worksheet or a piece of paper
• Crayons, markers, or favorite drawing utensil

Desert Neighborhood
VIRTUAL FIELDTRIP
Desert Neighborhood will guide 1st and 2nd grade students in developing a sense of wonder and respect for the natural world by investigating the different homes of desert animals. Come with us on a virtual hike in our Sonoran desert neighborhood as we use clues to determine what animals need to survive in this environment.
One session, 30-45 minutes in length

Pollinator Party
VIRTUAL FIELDTRIP
Pollinator Party is an interactive program for 3rd and 4th grade students designed to build up and draw on their knowledge of common pollinators, the process of pollination, and the connections between plants and animals in the Sonoran Desert.

Sky Island Spectacular
VIRTUAL FIELDTRIP
Sky Island Spectacular leads 5th and 6th grade students on a virtual journey up a local sky island – Mt. Lemmon! In visiting the different biomes on the way to the summit, students will make observations about the vast biodiversity within the Sonoran Desert.
